VectorCast is a material normally used in aerospace applications where lightweight and high-strength are a necessity. Formed around a mandril using a proprietary material filament and resin thread, this space-age composite is heat-treated and lathed; resulting in lively-yet fat tonality with fast response and rich mid-range.

The Pearl VectorCast shell is crafted with a proprietary composite material filament and resin thread, resulting in lively, yet fat sounds coupled with fast response and rich mid-range.

Click-Lock Strainer
The revolutionary SR-160F features an inner "C"-shaped nylon clip that attaches the throw off arm to the tension dial, preventing the lever from disengaging and the tension dial from loosening, even when the tension is very low.

Free Floating System
Pearl's Free Floating system eliminates any contact between parts and the shell itself with no hole drilled through the shell for the parts assembly. The shell is securely held between the batter head and a lower aluminum chassis, supported by the Free Floating lug posts. With no metal parts attached, the shell's natural acoustic properties are fully preserved, delivering a pure, resonant tone that highlights its unique sonic character of the Vector Cast shell.
